I recently got some ORIGINAL ally cats and they are 4x100 yey were my thoughts... however where the bolts actually fit they have a flat face to them, not the usual 60 degree taper... and you would have a better chance of sleeping with GODS wife than getting the bolts I need to fit.. (vw m12 x 1.5 flat seat bolts) SO QUESTION TIME.. is it possible to get the 60 degree taper machined out? How much will I be looking at? (roughly) Thanks Muchly

Are they VW-specific? is there something that would make them different from, say, these?Alternatively what about here, plenty of M12x1.5 variants listed.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

the 1st set I have already looked at and they have too little thread unfortunately. Also I have emailed the second one asking about the bolts I need. Cheers bud

Could you just use some high tensile cap headed m12 x 1.5 screws? with some hardened ground washers
you'll need to make sure your centrebore is spot-on. as the wheels will be relying solely on the centrebore for accurate location

Stud conversion? I had to do this to fit ford Alloys on my Peugeot because the huge studs/nuts ford use are only available with a 1.5mm thread as opposed to the 1.25 of the Peugeot hubs. www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/wheel-nuts-bolts/grayston-conversion-studI got mine from somewhere else though because they were cheaper I think but cant remember where it was Just re read the post an I assume you already have studs? can you get some with the thread you need?

i would question whether they are genuinely 4x100 and not something close like 4x98 or 4x4" You could get the wheels fitted with metal inserts, so they would have either a 60 deg taper or radius seat. Vw/vauxhall specific revolution wheels are done in this fashion. this guy might be worth an ask too www.mistertee.co.uk/

the bolts are easily and cheaply available from lots of sources, making out they're something hard and/or difficult to get just isnt true. a screw-in stud and nut conversion will probably be cheaper though, and certainly easier to work with.
original alleycats don't come in 4x100 though. the come in 4x4" and 4x108 for 13" versions, and 4x4", 4x108, and very occasionally 4x114 and 4x98 for the 14s with the curved lattice.

The shank on those doesn't look long enough to me, might just be the photo. He'd also have to accurately measure the holes in the wheels as the shank needs to be a tight fit in the hole. They're usually 5/8" or 3/4"

I shall get some measurements up of how long and wide the bolts need to be otherwise I think I shall just convert the hub to studs and nuts haha Cheers for all the help tho lads its MUCH appreciated!
