I think so, don't you Mat? Glad you're pleased with it. I was very pleasantly surprised by it, felt more substantial than I remember Cherry N12/Sunny B11 of the same vintage. If anyone gets the chance to buy one cheap (and being FWD they don't carry drift tax even when 3-door) I would heartily recommend them. Wanted a 1500GT version when I was 19, missed out on one as price dropped to what I could afford a week after I'd bought a rather less sporty Sunny coupe 1.3 goes well enough, facelift model like this benefits from 5th gear and electronic ignition. For extra googling fun, try searching for GLC (Great Little Car, as they got in USA), Familia, and Ford Laser and Meteor as they got them in Oz. JDM versions have the usual and intriguing subtle differences.

Ooozes potential I think, good buy! And a brown dash? that would top it off for me! It's fantastically brown inside. Has matching brown Mazda floor mats too, on top of a brown carpet with a loop pile that would have disgraced many living rooms of the time. Seats are a nice diagonally striped brown.

I think so, don't you Mat? Yup ;D The interior great, almost luminous brown Problem I've found is I can seem to get it to idle for long, it will start first time then after a min or so it will konk out even on full choke, then it takes a while to start it again and will then do the same, any one got any ideas what causing it? Or does it just need a good service

Looks like an excellent buy to me! Another one of those "Where did they all go?" cars, there used to be hundreds around here! Problem I've found is I can seem to get it to idle for long, it will start first time then after a min or so it will konk out even on full choke, then it takes a while to start it again and will then do the same, any one got any ideas what causing it? Or does it just need a good service Sounds like you might be giving it a bit too much choke. Have a butchers at the plugs / leads / filters etc anyway though!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Shouldn't really need the choke much....a 1/3rd to get it started from cold, if that

Nice work, That looked really smart when Mr spotted and myself collected it, I'm a little jealous you've bought it as I'm running about in my girlfriends metro at the momment and one of those would do me well again.

poor pic, I wanted to see what my alloys would look like on it, annoyingly I don't think the Mazda is 4x100 pcd shame i think they would look great on it.

JDM versions have the usual and intriguing subtle differences. Wasn't the SAO Penza another version of this as well? Excellent purchase and remember that wheel adaptors are always available
