When asked if i could buy the plans for building my own he replied thus:
Hi, Yes and no is the answer. I am an engineer who normally works offshore and I have come up with this concept, built the vehicle and put an engine in against all odds. The project has cost me dearly financially and I have tried through having the car featured on local news and in the papers to get a backer. I have film of my building the car and obviously I would really like to be involved in the production, if possible. If not I am happy to discuss other possibilities. I have had over 6,000 hits on Ebay and my aim has been to try and get the sort of response and enquiry you now offer. By the way I am in talks with the Producer of Top Gear, Pat Doyle and they may feature the car. Please ring me on 0770***1140. Regards, Brian Wood.

Get a Bike Carver I cant comment on for other reasons The real Version of what he is proposing with that metro is called "Tango" Its an Electric tandem 2 seater that has 1000Nm Torque and really does shift ;D But its been done properly possibly a bit too far up the other end of the scale at the moment with top line everything, rather than "Chopped up metro" but development of the vehicle will see those costs fall George Clooney bought the first one and uses it around LA ;D

Someone should point that Bullit nutter in the direction of that Tango website, to show him how it's done. He's evidently conducted his market research by staring into his knavel for half an hour before deciding to spend £100k on grinding up his mum's Metro. I feel sorry for him

I see the bidding is going well. He's gonna recoup his costs, AND make a mint AND show all us 'haterZ' how wrong we were.

5 Mil for a metro - do you think the highest bidder will turn up to pay for his 'dream-machine'?*
*Dream machine - in the sense that the seller is a fooooooking dreamer - who's 'car' is only worth 50p

£5,000,100.... wonder how much "bidder 1" actually put? might even go to 10 mil!
Such a shame that ebay charge a flat £30 fvf on cars over £4000, he would have on hell of an account to pay under the old 1.5% of final price system!
Anyone know how much MG/rover fetched in the end? (the whole company)

I bet he's sitting there going 'Yes, a believer!' and totting up what he'll buy and where he'll move, then two days later it'll be relisted with a 99p starting bid and a note saying "selling due to timewaster".....

Hes probably more likely thinking "great, 5 mil, I can build another 5 of these! But this time I`ll use the Rover 100 Kensington and produce a top drawer luxury version to compete with the likes of the Bentley Arnage and Maserati Quattroporte"

It's more likely to be a muppet mate bidding it up in the hope that one of the major rags pick up the story..... But then I'm cynical!!!
