Not a problem  The Imp was probably my favourite on the day.  Man it was cool, unfortunately it must have had a slight issue as it was only out for one race, which is a shame. |

Cool Pics! Like the moody skyline shot (no pun intended!). Imp looks nice, and unusual to see a Pug 309 in there: Didn't know these made it as far as NZ! Also, what the hell is this. It's bloody frightening!   |

Cool Pics! Like the moody skyline shot (no pun intended!). Imp looks nice, and unusual to see a Pug 309 in there: Didn't know these made it as far as NZ! Also, what the hell is this. It's bloody frightening! That's a Ford Falcon XA Coupe, by far the BEST sounding car in the Clubman's racing, infact, the only thing I've heard that was better was the Formula 5000's in last years Classic Speed Fest, I was standing beside them in the staging area, they make your insides rumbla and rattle about, literally. They're fantastic. There's quite a few Pug's around, I'd never seen one like that racing until that day though. NZ really gets a little bit of everything automotive wise. |

Yeah, that's apparently a Tickford kit on a Capri GT-R, it belongs to the father of one of the lad's from www.oldschool.co.nz/ they came down for the racing and to say hello, good guys and the good thing about father's into cars is that they have a lot of stories to tell. He's also got a Valiant Charger and a MkI Cortina and the brother of the young lad has a Buick Wildcat or something long those lines, huge american pillarless monster, seem to be typical of most NZ'ers in that they're very American/Australian automotively interested. Whereas I'm just a whore for most steel on wheels. ;D |

I take it the car at the top is based on an Anglia 105E? It's well cool! 8-)8-) The Imp looks nice, are there many left over there? I know they used to build them as CKD kits in New Zealand and Australia among other places. |

Yeah, it is an old Anglebox, there's a few still round and about, some have been sold more recently to places like Japan due to the whole Potter fiasco...  |

Top pics ;D What was the R30 Skyline? Just a GT-Turbo with an L series? As far as I know, yes. However, it may very well be a non-turbo L-series, I'll have to take a closer look next meet, it's not tremendously fast so I'm unsure. The guy also drives to and from the track which is somewhat noticeable in the cars suspension when it's racing, seems far far too soft. |

Same car, different event, that was this years Festival of Speed, the pictures in the retro-rides gallery are from an average Teretonga clubman's meet of no real significance. However, I have a about 70 odd pictures from the very same event that those images are from in your link, if you guys want them and HoTWire wants to create another gallery then by all means, let me or him or both or some dogs, or a cat and some dogs.. know and I'll email them on their way to the man! |
