This came in today, gotta try to fix this up for someone, they know nothing about it. All I can tell you is it has a briggs engine and a peerless manual transmission with 5 forward gears and a reverse. (Maybe a garden tractor gearbox?)  Doesn't seem to have any kind of clutch which is odd.     Lamp is made by Wipac. Smaller than a car headlamp, anyone know what its from?  The main problem is there is no drive to the axle. It appears to have some kind of differential on it, anyone recognise what else this might have been used on or who made it , or the whole machine? |

What normally happens on lawn mowers it there is an idler pulley between the engine and gearbox. When the pulley is retracted the belt slips and when pulley forward then you have drive. Another option is a centrifugal clutch pulley on the bottom of the engine shaft.
There should be a part number on the lense of the light to allow a Google search.

get a cart chassis ant fit the body to the chassis or visa vursa which ever is easiest.
Would look awesome as a racing spec mini mini truck.............................

If you can figure out where from, thats cool, if not, make some moulds and sell them in the UK.
I am very sure some guys would build some really cool versions of it.
I seem to remember the Wipac lights from somewhere in my past.

Thanks! Great help. I scoured the net for like an hour and didn't find that diff axle place.
I considered making it one wheel drive rather than just 2 fixed because I think it would make it undriveable without a diff. Steering is already pretty horrible on it.
Yes someone else thought it looked quite hilux-ish. Need to find someone who can repair fibreglass!
Oh and I found where the clutch is, its centrifugal inside the crankshaft belt pulley
