I quite like the white but maybe do an orange pinstripe above and below it!! Will definately look the Dogs Round ones when its done either way!! Huge Hi-fives for the build by the way!! Inspirational!!

New supercharger stuff, not using the clutch anymore, just gunna bypass it and vent to atmosphere (been told the charger uses very little power when vented to atmosphere) So gunna be like the vw setup now, supercharger to turbo Supercharger with idle bypass valve  Bypass valve, this is operated by a 0.5bar actuator  Mounted, just waiting on a alternator bracket   |

Are you going to have to run 2 airfilters with that set up pictured above? Sorry if i'm being thick and its obvious just thinking about maybe supercharging the pinto. Also was that divertor valve from another vehicle or a custom one of?

Yeah, I could make up another pipe to join the two inlets so to have one filter, CBA right now lol

It's a 0.5 bar actuator, so will open up once manifold pressure reaches 0,5bar, giving a direct inlet to turbo, and vent supercharger to atmosphere, That's the theory. I've dramatically reduced the amount of pipes I had before, in total there's about 1m of boost pipe, I'm hoping power will be instant all the time |

The idle bypass is vacuum,
The actuator one is boost operated, so I guess it's a bypass and inlet and over boost protection for the charger
The feed to the actuator will be pre throttle, so it will still open when the throttle is closed

hi mate, I'm building a supercharged mk1 golf using a r5 gtt carb and a g40 charger, and i wanted to know where i would connect the vacuum line to on the bmw mini bypass valve? i was thinking about using a BOV plumbed in as a pressure release valve but the bypass valve look like they probably work abit better, any inf at all would be great thanks!

Hi, I plugged mine into the manifold vacuum, I took of the existing black hose, and added my own hose to it so it would reach my manifold block, and plugged the other hole up
As soon as you come of throttle the valve will ooen
Il try take a pic tomorrow for you

I like where this is going. Hannahs little sister in Oxford has a K10. Sadly she is not the petrol head that Hannah is so I don't see her being as interested in this as us.
When the turbo starts boosting whats to stop the boost back flowing from the inlet manifold to the super charger and out? Is there a one way valve/flap or something?

Keep forgetting to take that pic, il try remember tomorow lol Managed another hour today in between baby life and work Repositioned oil return hole and mounted all supercharger stuff again. Started up, and no belt slip/squeal But the fuelling is now all over the place, so need few hours with the laptop plugged in and run auto tune.  |

Well what an adventurous day! Took car out with laptop to do some tuning Belt snapped taking out water pump belt! So managed to get to a axe shop and change belts on side if the road ......then exhaust got ripped of by speed bumps! ......then cables came loose and melted on the turbo! Now I'm walking hone  |
