	Only a very limited number of 133s were sold in the UK mid 70's. The majority seem to have been badged like the photo above with small SEAT badges on each door and FIAT 133 on the back panel. a local FIAT dealer sold one or two completely SEAT badged. Production moved to Argentina late 70's where they were made for many more years. Mick

	Didn't finish putting my Honda twin cam SIMCA 1000 back together ready for the Blyton trackday on 20sept so took the 133. its 1294 SIMCA engine is getting well worn but performed superbly other than a bit of overheating. I might look into better ducting for the front rad, maybe a channel sunk into the bonnet fron the back of the rad.

	Never did get round to seeing if the supercharged engine would fit over the winter. Have a trackday at Blyton this week and have come across a few ignition problems on my Honda CRX powered SIMCA 1000, so i've been getting the 133 up & running just in case the SIMCA's not ready. Fired up quite easily with a bit of essy start... a bit smoky but Ok oil pressure and cools OK despite the Bosch electric water pump having a slight leak (It's had that from nearly new..!!). have a Davies Craig one I got with another project to replace it if necessary. Honda CBR600 bike carbs still seem spot on... stay in tune and don't kick out the fuel the Webers did. Photos... and, yes the battery does get fixed in securely and covered when it's on the move.

	After an enjoyable day's 'thrashing' round the track at Blyton last Friday, I decided to do just a few more laps before loading up. Sod's law...coming out of a chicane there was a thunp and a clattering coming from the N/S rear wheel. Photos show that part connecting driveshaft to hub has pulled apart on LH side. I've retained the FIAT rear suspension as it works so well with the extra coilovers I've fitted so I'll have to start looking for FIAT 850/133 rear driveshsft/hub parts to fit. THe SIMCA 1000 uses a similar arrangement but with different pcd for the driveshaft flange and maybe splines..... Will have to start comparing bits. The ultimate conversion would be the complete rear subframe and suspension from a SIMCA 1000. I've got the parts but some serious surgery would be needed to the bodyshell along with much wider rear arches.

	When I bought mine some panels from another scrapped moss green 133 came with it. ... a pair of doors, a decent front lid and a new, unused bumper for the front, I think. I let Andy Bowns (the guy with the red 133 with the chequered roof & various Abarth bits) have the driver's door. Still have the passenger door (odd dents and a bit of rust, a decent front bonnet and the rear and (as I've fitted Lexan for lightness) side glass plus the lid that covers the battery etc. on the boot floor Sold the engine, box, original front suspension parts, rad and interior to a guy from the Leicester area who had a mint moss green 133.... unfortunately I've lost his contact details. Also have various 98mm pcd wheels as the SIMCAs share these centres. I'm at Chesterfield, Derbyshire 5 or 6 mliles from J29 M1.... Mick Have even thought of selling my 133 recently as it gets so little use with all my other projects on the go... but there again it would be hard to part with it.

	Have just bought a really quick racing SIMCA 1000 so am reducing my collection of track cars. The two SIMCA 1000s with Honda twin cam transplants have already been sold. I'll be putting an ad for the 133 on here soon. Got to decide how to sell it as there's a demand for the 1294 engine on bike carbs from SIMCA Club members. Just have to decide whether there would be a demand for just the rolling shell as a home for a bike engine conversion or something similar.

	Yes photobucket is a pain. I sold the car when I got a better trackday toy, the orange SIMCA Rallye 2 ex German 'Youngtimer' racecar. It has since been sold on again recently on Ebay where it went for £650 but I'd sold it with a standard-ish 1118cc SIMCa engine as I'd wanted to keep the 1294 for its race cam etc, Here's some photos...

	I have the bike carbs but making new inlet manifold still with 1108 simca engine..I am redoing front suspension at the moment.

	Good to see it's gone to a good home. The 1294 race engine I had in it was badly worn after years of trackday use. When I sold it originally, I fitted the 1118cc standard SIMCA engine along with a single DCNF carb from a front wheel drive SIMCA and the compomotive wheels. Reliant Kitten … I used a lot of SIMCA parts on it and still edit the magazine/find parts/ help run SIMCA Club UK, so, if you need parts I can usually locate them. You probably are thinking of fitting one but I've still got a new chrome rear bumper for it, still in the FIAT wrapper, that Gary forgot to take when he collected the car. If you are ever up in Derbyshire, You are welcome to it. Look forward to seeing what you do with it. Here are more photos.... including at a Prescott RRG.

	The 1294 engine ran well on the bike carbs. It was a match for the 205GTI in the above photo. I did try them on the 1118 engine but the car had been standing for a while after I got the orange SIMCA racecar and I think they were badly blocked up needing a good clean out. Gary wanted it in a hurry so I fitted the DCNF. In the FWD transverse engine SIMCAs, the engine sits at a more extreme angle. In the past we've seen an alloy 'wedge' arrangement made to bring the carb to a better angle for the more upright mounting of the inline SIMCA 1000 motor. The front wheel drive Chrysler/Talbot Alpine, Solara and Horizons use longer stroke 1442 and 1592 versions of the engine that rotate more conventionally clockwise. We have adapted them in the past to rotate anti clockwise as in the SIMCA 1000 range and the 850/133 by mixing and matching various parts. Somewhere I have a link to a youtube video a mate took going up Prescott hill in the 133.

	Still got this Honda CRX twin cam mated to a SIMCA 1000 gearbox from one of my past SIMCA 1000 projects. Did once think about puuting it in the 133 but decided there'd be just too much hanging out the back..!!!
