I bought it the other day and have started work on it. It will have Chrome Smooties and whitewalls fitted next weekend, then its going in for paint. Will be Gloss black with metalflake green roof. Lowered at front back will remain same height as it will be towing caravan. Chrome trim replaced but badges removed. Rover V8 and auto box. Interior will have zebra skin carpet fitted and new 'ICE'. Will be building it for my wife so will have to be practical for every day use. Oh yeah, it will have rear seatbelts too. Cheers for selling me a good basis for my project Pog. ;D
Booked the paint for January just need to sell the Charger to finance engine swap. ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

First problem! My wheels don't fit! Had them re-drilled but the stick out too far. Looks like a beach buggy. Looks like standard wheels with whitewalls and moon discs then. Went in for paint today, nearly changed my mind about the colour at the last minute but want to stick to the original plan.

Metalflake green roof..........trouser arousal :-)
Shame about the Smoothies, would have set it off IMHO. What about a set of Lotus/Mex 5.5's in metalflake green??
I'm getting a metalflake fetish......

Not much to see at the moment. But boot is now smooth, no lock number plate or trim going back on. Front grille is not going back on either, not sure what i'm doing there yet, but i don't like the old grille. Sprayer found 1 bit of grot on rear arch (Pogweasel pointed this out to me before i bought it) apart from that its solid.

That's looking really nice I've been looking for a decent painter in east anglia and southend isn't too far at all, would you mind p.ming me the contact details? I'd be really interested in seeing any other work he's done in the past as well. Cheers.
