stole my imp last night luckily for me they were thick as pig curse word. not only could they not pick the drivers door lock and had to smash a window to get in,they didn't manage to drive it more than 50yds off the end of drive.so I have it back at home. sum total of the damage is one broken window, one mullered door lock, one mashed ignition lock ,some tasty boot prints where thyey failed to boot in the passenger window, and possibly an overheated clutch. must be the yoof of today, nobody with any brains could be this stupid and fail this much.

What's with the Imp thefts then? I've said this before but I hate these in-scene thieves...scumbags.
Glad you've still got it though.

Amazing that each and every one of us reacts in the same way - but we're deemed the irrational ones for wanting to prevent 'society' from doing this as and when they see fit! Beggars belief......... I know a lot of older easier to niock cars get lifted because the thief wants a cheaper way home than a taxi after a night out.

Whether its in scene theives, those hoping to make a buck in time for xmas, or stoopid brain dead kids, its all wrong. WTF is goin on, glad they are not getting away, sorry to hear of this mess Andy. Outside the GF's parents we saw some possible culprits of my wing mirror, we were sat in the car, observing the fence pen vandalism, which was meant to be a pic of a gun, and 'Danga', and waiting for the parentals, these scum walked past and spun a recycling wheely bin around into an alley. the parentals saw it too. Why o why do the govenment not take the benefits away when scum do crimes, that would make the tw@'s think behave more!

Someone did that taxi thing to a Mk2 Astra my dad had 'in stock' in the 90's, carefully left in a scummy area, nice and obvious, finding the blame up there is like a needle in an haystack like Silly cos they are drink driving on top of theft!

I find that hard to believe. Soco gave the same bull when my shed was robbed. Proffesional enough to wear gloves but not proffesional enough to thieve a Hillman Imp? I think not. My gran could probably nick an Imp. It all sucks a big one fella

this guy seemed genuine enough,he even showed me the marks on the glass made by the gloves, and you can clearly see the fabric pattern in the dirt on the window.true though it does suck,i'm really angry at the mo' and now i've got to go to work and deal with ungrateful whinging b'stards, choicey bonus i think ,given the choice of the four cars behind my house they nicked the imp,not because they knew or even cared what it was,but it would have been the easiest to steal.all the other cars are late models with alarms and immobilisers etc, chances are they wouldn't have made it away in any of them,so they just took the cop out and tried to nick mine instead.

tbh no,i didn't,but in my defence unless you knew the car was there you wouldn't ever see it.its just not visible from the road or path.basically its on my drive behind my house,my drive is in an 'L' shape and the car is round the corner out of a direct line of sight,my drive is then only accessed from a private road.and unlees you really go looking for it,it can be hard to find,GJM and skodastop will vouch for that as will quite a few imp club members who have come looking for me.so unless you live don this road, you have no reason to be there unless you are up to no good.i guess i may have been complacent but it won't happen again,i have a 5 bar gate across my drive and that will be locked tonight and my firearms licence renewal will be going in soon too
