Just a quick guide for those who are making the pilgrimage to Prescott for the first time.
I'm assuming that you're using the M5 as it's literally a 10-15 minute drive once you're off at Junction 9.
Here's a map of the entire route. The three junctions are pictured below the main map. The colour key is (I hope) self-explanatory.
Come off at Gate Nine of the M5, and head EAST towards Evesham on the A46. You'll pass a large industrial estate on your left, and there's a HUGE BP petrol station on the right for all those last-minute purchases.
Go straight over the traffic lights and railway bridge. Watch for the speed camera on your left as you come off the bridge. The speed limit here is 30mph.
You'll then pass an ENORMOUS Army base on your left. This is DSDC Ashchurch, the MOD's main storage depot for their vehicles and plant.
You'll then come to another set of traffic lights at Aston Cross, right at the Eastern perimiter of the Army base. Turn RIGHT here onto the B4079.
Follow this road for about three miles, keep the speed down though as there are several nasty bends along the way. This road is heavily used by farm traffic so be aware of the potential for mud on the road, especially since we've had so much rain of late.
Eventually you'll come to an angled T-Junction with the main A435, at which point you'll need to turn RIGHT.
Be VERY careful when exiting as the A435 is a very fast road.
Follow the A435 for just over a mile, ignore the first left turn....that only takes you into Oxenton village. Ignore the second, signposted Woolstone. You want the third left, which is signposted Gotherington and Gretton and also has one of those incredibly helpful brown tourist signs directing you to 'Prescott Motor Racing'.
From here it's just a simple matter of driving straight through Gotherington village and out the other side, under the railway bridge, up the hill and then just keep your eyes peeled for the camping field on your left, literally opposite the venue itself.
Safe journey!!!
