one of my favourite cars ever has been the infamous callaway sledgehammer, making stupid power since before the veyron was even a dream... always been the fastest road legal car made but never enough made to warrant it being credited... or something stupid like that! 1988 corvette callaway sledgehammer, 254.8mph

Brizzle? The sledgehammer isn't a supercar - it's a modified sportscar I vote for: Miura Countach Pantera Merak Khamsin *n

callaway is a seperate company as much as amg/brabus/ruf are. Who said it wasn't? :/ If you make a sportscar do 250mph, it is still a sports car...just a very fast, very heavily modified one... A supercar embodies so much more... *n

it was to illustrate my point... an sl65 twaeked to become a 200+ sl65 amg is a supercar in my book... fair enough i see your point though... reminds me of an argument i had with a escort cossie owning fellow, couldnt see that it was a superfast hot hatch, not a supercar, because of course, every group 20 car is a supercar :s

All together now... 'On Days Like These.....' And for my money the most beautiful car in the world, ever..... When all my mates had posters of the Countach on their walls back in the mid-70's.....I had one of these. Brian

And for my money the most beautiful car in the world, ever..... Maybe not the fastest, but I wholeheartedly agree with the most beautiful statement. No question in my book.

Ford GT40 Road Car - a shape so damn good, they used it again 40 years later.... (You wouldn't believe how few pics of road cars there are on the interweb! Most GT40 pics are racers, replicas or the new version...)

Cizeta Moroder V16T.... transverse V16 madness anyone??? Easily one of my favs, after the already mentioned F40 of course. Miura is definitely the hottest looker of the lot. Breathtaking.

I don't really like fast cars but cars with dream-like desirability for me include such gorgeous designs as the AC Cobra, Ferrari 250GT swb (NOT the GTO), Dino and, oddly, the Honda NSX.
