erm... how about a pick up converted to a car? ill try and stick to the rules and be polite ,so, I appreciate all the work thats gone into it but maybe id like it more with different wheels So, it´s not only Leepu from London, who is taking the wrong pills or too much of them to get such a vision? You´re right, those wheels are terrible, but what wheels would be necessary to make this thing a beauty? I made a rough sketch to see if something useful can be made of it. Useful? Maybe. But still soooo wrong! NEG POST ALERT !!! the only wheels that would make that look good are the ones on the steam roller that just flattend the POS

Hey- that Yellow Micra is going to be spectacular as a pickup! Fill the back with Ice and Doombar. Seeing this thread makes me wonder, it must be an overseas type of thing- changing cars into pickups. We have So MANY small pickups here already, the Ford Ranger, the Chevy S-10, the complete Toyota, Nissan & older Mazda lines, there's more I'm forgetting. Literally hundreds of thousands each year are built and sold. That's probably why not many people cut the back off of a car, if you need a pickup you can just go buy a little pickup truck for a few hundred bucks.
But it's crazy cool that all these people are into it and I was really sweet ones in this thread.

An early one of mine, 1979 I remember this car very well, was that spread in Street Machine or Custom Car? It inspired me to build a Mk3 Capri pickup some years later, unfortunately all my pics were lost in a house burglary

Here in New Zealand there was a period in history when pickups and small trucks were simply not available at any price. A lot of very nice conversions were done by professional motor body builders, sometime on almost new cars, to fill this gap in the market. A lot of very rough conversions were done too of course but they all served the intended purpose. If I could find a picture of my grandfather's '23 Studebaker Big 6 cut down I'd post it. Must ask my dad. I'm sure he'll have at least one somewhere.
