	WOW! Sierra LX Vignale. That interior was awesome. The whole car is brilliant, but the interior was something new and not what I had expected. Can't wait to see the engine you have chosen.

	Thanks for the positive comments, I took a bit of a gamble with the diamond stitching but I'm really happy with it! If it all works out I should be fitting a 427 small block Ford push rod engine. Same basic layout as the old one but taller on the block for longer stroke as it's based on the 351 Windsor engine, but all aluminium so lighter despite the size increase. Grip is going to be an issue, but it should be fun Edit - No chance I will make any shows this year due to time and money Should be ready to use 2020 !

	My hope was to get the engine fitted last year but have had loads of bits to sort out first. Trigger wheel for engine management made at work trigger wheel by Mark V8, on Flickr Test fitted on back of damper trigger and damper by Mark V8, on Flickr Electro plated to look a bit more OEM and stop the rust trigger wheel plated by Mark V8, on Flickr Bracket to hold crank position sensor cps bracket by Mark V8, on Flickr It all just squeezes in cps fitted by Mark V8, on Flickr Next was power steering pump, I couldn't find a way of fitting a Sierra one and making it look nice so settled for a Peugeot 206 pump as it's self contained and has a 6 rib belt - this also needed brackets power steering brackets by Mark V8, on Flickr power steering pump and brackets by Mark V8, on Flickr Fitted to engine power steering pump fitted by Mark V8, on Flickr I've been trying to figure out alternator bracket and belt tensioner set up but have not finished yet!

Not much more to add, I've made a lash up out of assorted bits of ali bolted together that I have now measured and can make a proper one from. It's going to be a bit of a mongrel with Peugeot power steering pump, transit van idler pulley, Granada 24 valve alternator and Jeep 2.8 CRD tensioner It took 3 trips to the car parts place to get the belt length right... tensioner lash up by Mark V8, on Flickr There's a 165 x 155 x 127 mm lump of aluminium waiting at work for me to make a start on but the drawing is not yet finished...
