Just got home now thanks to my Dad, after leaving my car (the daily polo) upside down in a field on the way home from work. Understeered on a bend that ive driven a thousand and one times before, one wheel on the grass, lost the back end, walls... fences... a choice of fields. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find the door handle when your upside down! Anyway, all is well, ive got away with just a scratched knee after crawling over the broken windscreen to get out. Pics to follow On a retro note... it means the mk1 may well be coming out to play sooner than previously anticipated.

Mental note, slow down on greasy roads :-) Its always the ones you drive day in day out that catches you out. Glad you are OK though.

Jesus. Glad ur ok! Thats the main thing. My mate did exact same thing a year ago. Same road he had driven hundreds of times to work. Lost it one morning and fliped his clio into a field. He was fine too. Would really hate to roll a car.

Blimey, glad your ok. Almost rolled an Impreza once. That was enough for me!
Caught out by conditions on a road I knew blah, blah.
Or trying to hard in a car I had only had for TWO days! An expensive lesson but one which shan't be forgotten.

Can't have been doing more than 45 mph, but I guess that was too much for the conditions.
These things happen, I'm just glad to have walked away from it.

Good to hear you're fine, hope the shock and the realisation that you've been in an accident isn't a bad experience. This time of year is horrible to drive in.
I did exactly the same thing in my first 106 Rallye. Blasted FWD.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Nasty Glad your okay though. Only rolled once, in a Discovery end over end. I was in the front passenger seat and ended up getting chucked onto the back seat (no seat belt). Everyone was okay at the time. Then I found out two years later I had broke my back but hadnt realised

Only time I've ever been over in one was when I borrowed my mate's lad's Mini Autograss racer for his local Autograss club's end-of season fun-day. Some guy spun in front of me, and I had two choices. Either hit him in his driver's door (not the done thing) or attempt to squeeze the Mini through the 4ft gap between the front of his car and a big tractor tyre on the inside of the bend. Guess which one I chose....
The car reared up on two wheels and performed a couple of lovely somersaults before landing on its wheels. The really worrying thing was as it went over, I instinctively stuck out my left arm to stop myself, and actually touched the ground.....had my hand been 3" higher up, then I would have been typing this half as fast.....at that moment I saw the advantages of window nets!
Although I hadn't a scratch on me, the next morning my neck was so stiff I couldnt move.
Anyway, as long as you're in one piece, that's the main thing..

Only rolled a landy once myself - one of those slow motion moments where it's going, going, going............ darn- GONE! Even thought I'd have two wheel heroic stories for a moment A colleague barrel rolled a LWB at the bottom of the airfield whilst I was passenger - got a right battering as our rifles and pistols etc flew all over the place! - Not a nice thought wondering if you left the safety on or off while you spin! - Funny now though! Apparently the impromptu light display was quite something! At least you're still breathin without tubes etc... fella! Not the nicest impetus to get the other motor done though

curse word luck this time of year, statistically you got a 10/10 for the insures, our compamny actually gave us a challenge this week to earn a case of champagne....... the team with zero clams between 1Dec and 28Feb gets to win. Teams average at about 14 people.
Very glad you got out in one piece with just a scrape and your ego dented. (oh and the car)
