Then how come hes always behind it untill he finds a straight? I expect they've edited out the bits where the BMW gets him back on the bends! American cars don't like bends, but they make up for it on the straights :-) I admire the Cuda driver's patience though; I reckon he should have had that BMW off into a gravel trap after the first blocking manoeuvre. no blue flags,no black flags, looks like the marshals should join the kick up the butt queue right behind the beemer driver, just in front of the clerk of the course methinks

bmw driver wasnt being lapped, i couldnt see any blue flags anyway. Nothing wrong with any thing he did there imo. I doubt there was alot the marshalls could do.

Nothing wrong? He was driving like an ass, and i SERIOUSLY doubt it was a serious race, because then it would not be likely for the beemer and the Cuda to be in the same group

Yeah looks like the zimma driver got 'pwn3d' quite a few times.
Re: weaving - would it be the same as in F1/btcc when you are allowed to move once across the track and then have to hold that spot save for the usual racing line you would take?

i reckon the beemer driver was being lapped, look at the speed the cuda driver catches him up,and passes him on the straights, there isnt any way that he could have stayed in front for more than a couple of corners.the marshalls should have at least reported him to race control, even if it was only for the weaving.iirc motorsport regs are pretty much the same irrespective of country,ie rac msa regs should be broadly similar to fia regs etc.basically the beemer driver should have been punished for weaving.

"racing is racing". Its not an anything goes situation, you're thinking of unlimmited class bangers!
Not all yank stuff is as lardy and unweildy as our Oldmobiles are Mike.

You end up with fiat 500 arbarths very much so in the same race as a cobra. Its all seperated in seperate classes. don't believe me? www.avd.de/ogpracing/index.shtmlif you take a look at this years programe u can see what sort of cars end up doing battle with each other.

Remember the Ford Galaxies against the Mini Coopers in the Touring Car Championships of the early '60s? They were pretty evenly matched because the Minis could make up ground round the bends whilst the Galaxies were doing three point turns! :-)

Some very worrying views of what racing actualy is in this thread, I hope some of you never end up on track days if you think weaving and blocking is OK.
If I had been that Cuda driver I'd have been tempted to pull into the pits and demand that BMW muppet black flagged before going back, totally unacceptable to drive like that on a circuit, the driver should be ashamed.

Guys - it was the Beemer being lapped a few times, and he was out of order - the 'cuda driver was apoplexic at the end of the testing session..... my mate does the odd day marshalling over there and the pit lane was entertaining apparently! ;D As for the beemer driver - he was of course testing for fastest times and set-up himself, but was far from courteous. As MWF just said - I'd hate to be hammering past that guy and him to pull a manoeuvre ike he did - he'd be wrapped in the black flag forthwith!

The beemer driver would be forced off into the nearest bus stop if he tried that round here ;D
Gorgeous sounds from the 'cuda. I think I'll play that again. LOUD!
