they're gra8 everday practical motors, get it back on the road, as smooth as a modern car with & the looks you get!!!! loads of space on the estates, they were done by 'carbodies' in coventry the same as hunters & a few other cars of the era!

Oh, well. Some things are not meant to be. I wasn't expecting to win the auction for this but no-one else bid on it so, well, we were going to have it. In the mean time we'd worked out we didn't really need it and then our central heating boiler gave up so we've got a big bill coming our way  I'd told the seller this and this evening he said he had a mate who was in desperate need for a car and was going to see it tonight. The mate loved it so he's going to have it instead of us. A happy mutual agreement. Its a shame as I was kinda looking forward to smoking about in it but looking at it sensibly its for the best. Money's tight as I've got a work project that has been delayed a bit and I'm not getting paid 'til its done All being well this will mean that we have enough to buy what we actually want next year rather than scrapping the dregs for something we don't really need now.  |
