Any takers for a resurrection of the Central Scotland meet? We had a decent turnout in Falkirk at the end of last year but I think the second meet (at the start of the Monte) didn't really happen. I've been jealously reading about the Fry Up Clubs in other parts of the country so I was thinking that might be a good start for a second attempt at a second meet. Who doesn't like a fry up? Anyone know of a decent roadside cafe with parking close to the major roads? I was in and around Stirling for a few days last summer and I'm pretty sure that I passed a truckstop, a couple of miles from where the M80/M9 meet. I found a list of truck stops, I think the one I saw is Muirpark.  Not sure how welcoming they are to retro cars but I hoped that we could have a fry up and a chat and then maybe a big scrap with loads of truckers like in a bad 70s film. Fighting and fried eggs aren't for everyone so a meet at an event would also be a great idea, what's happening over the next few months? Comments and ideas below, if you have any. |

Gotta be somewhere..... But even a random car park meet would be good, and a lot more successful at this time of the year rather than winter too!

july15th-eglinton irvine, 22nd-blackford perth.
august12th biggar, 19th lochwinnoch,26th ladybank,
sept2nd linlithgow,9th bo-ness,16th selkirk,23rd east fortune.
could suggest boness motor museum august 5th,think not much on that week-end ,a good little cafe in the building ,

Guys, my apologys for not keepin the meet alive, long story short it's been a hectic year for me since the last meet.
Aug 4th is the day after my stag do. All going well I may be legal to make it. If not I hope this meet has the turn out and the banter the last one did. Shouldn't be a problem given the weather improvements.
Hopefully I'll get ye aw11 (that's an mr2 by the way!!!) up on Sunday.

went to boness today, spoke to the curator , said we are most welcome to meet up at the museum,. then cortina broke down on the way home!!!. collapsed wheel bearing,had to trailer home, wife not pleased
