I've probably missed it somewhere else, but,
are passengers allowed up the hill (I seem to remember seeing some last year) and if so, are there any age limitations? My kids are constantly bugging me to take them a ride up.

Good point.... do we need skid lids ? The inverse, they are actively discouraged. The rationale being this isn't an official licenced hillclimb event, no timing takes place, it's 'for fun', and helmets encourage you to drive faster.

As for passengers, they were allowed last year, they MUST attend the safety briefing and receive a wristband. Can't comment on age restrictions though.

If its for fun I best bring some spare tyres then ;D I wouldn't bother - slideyness is strictly verboten.

Its is a course that is far from convenient for drifters - and the venue, clerk of the course, and marshalls do not like it. If you decide to go against my words do not be surprised when you're on the thick end of anything from a ticking off to being banned from the Hill Climb for the rest of the day. I'm not making threats to anyone here, just advising on how the land lies so there's no surprises on the day.
VIP covered most of the other areas correctly. Passengers are welcome but they must have attended the briefing and therefore be wearing the appropriate wristband.

Plus paying another £30 too ?? -- that would make the day rather expensive compared to a normal full hillclimb competition at £60 a run ----- comp gives 2 practice and 2 or 3 timed runs at £100

I think you have misread something somewhere.
Our morning session runs 10am - 1pm and is £30 FOR THE SESSION Our afternoon session is 2pm-4pm and is £20 FOR THE SESSION
Some people got as many as 7 runs in a session last year!

Although you could drift the hillclimb, you will get a "Silver Sticker" the first time and ejected from the event if you do it a second time. I got a silver sticker for diffin up, on two of the corners last year. It's not worth the hassle.

What I was asking regarding cost was only refering to passengers . I know the £30 and £20 run costs BUT if a passenger's on board is there a further cost

Mr. Speedy
The Frankenhealey will be taking passengers on the day, Come and find me early, kids and attractive young women get preference ;D
Ye Rules (for clarification only)
The number of Frankenhealey passengers per run shall be to the count of One, no more, no less. One shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be One. Two shalt thou not count, neither count thou Zero, excepting that thou then proceed to One. Five is right out. Once the number One, being the First number, be reached then that is the number of passengers per run.

Never have blown up an engine on the hills so it would be a first but probably not under Prescott's 'scenic drive' rules
