That's too much chop for my tastes. 2" higher would look better I think. To carry that sorta chop off it would need to be sitting on the ground on 'bags (IMO).

Looks odd to me with the extreme chop. Dunno what but it just looks unproportional to me.
As has been said would love to see what it would look like with an extra 2" added back to it.

Bit drastic for my tastes. Surely only Ronnie Corbett can actually drive it?!

I think it gets away with that much chop. As odin said, it could do with being lower - I think that'd finish it off nicely. A few other things I'd change would be the front end, particularly the grille, and the colour - it's a bit 1991 for my tastes.
But then, how many roof chops have I done, eh?! None. ;D

Its been around for a good 10 years now I reckon. I suppose in an ideal world it would be lower but then he'd only be able to drive it at Bonneville rather than being able to pretend everywhere else is salt encrusted. Fab car. Pukka salt style

For me this is one of 'those' cars, the kind you always remember and stand the test of time. It's pure Bonneville inspired, which doesn't necessarily mean it has to run on the ground. Built by a guy called Al Barnett from South East London/Orpington way, in the nicest possible way Al ain't a small chap either... But then he did call me a 'plastic surfer dude' once, so I guess I can get away with that. I love it and have done since I first saw it, it's a testament to how well Al built it back then that it still wears the same paint. He bought it back a few (maybe more than a few) years ago, and he and Jon (v8wagon) on here took it on the classic Ford Euro trip. I see somebody has bothered to put windows in it now... Probably wise. If I remember rightly it had plastic school seats in it too, not kart seats. When Jon gets back from swanning around in California I'll get him to put some pics up, there's loads of stories around this motor.
