i vote for something different.... how about a straight two-tone? How about taxi'ing it up, yellow primer with black primer chequerboard in a strip down the doors?
How about - and this is a crazy idea but one I'm about to embark on - saving up a bit of cash, doing it properly, and having a shiny paint job? Primer is alright for a quick 'back to basics' but every other car you see is 'ratlook'. Plus it lets the water through which is going to ruin your metalwork eventually. Hire a compressor, buy some nice paint and get spraying!
