Thing is all J cars from the `80s will run forever but they all rust in time, and they all seem to copy off each other where they rust, Nissan, Toyotas, Mazdas they all go on sills especially towards the rear, back arches, bootfloor, suspension mounts (looked at a 96N-reg Justy with hardly any front suspension mounts at all 2 years ago..) but it isnt a problem if you get the welding done properly then underseal it all afterwards, and you don't seem to get the bizarre rust traps in obscure locations with J stuff that you get with other things. And smaller Volvos know how to rust as well, believe me, some of the late model 440s are starting to turn up with rusty arches and door bottoms (not seen anything structural yet).

Even if it goes for loads, (which it will), you can bet it will resurface with added 'Paddy Tax' in a couple of weeks. I'll put my stake on 6000euros.....
