Just had an awesomely unexpected delight of a day, got a lot of pictures so thought I'd share them with you, I thought I was going into work but as I ran the place for the first time ever yesterday my boss thought he'd treat me and take me along to get his Audi rs2 mapped! So we headed off to MRC tuning in Banbury, apologies if some pics are duplicated, it's a mixture of camera and phone, so some are nearly the same!
The bosses rs2, it's never usually this dirty! The only rhd in pearl white, one of three in the world!
And the other powerful German in his life, noodles the Doberman!
While they were getting things ready we had a look around...
Tweaked Quattro with big intercooler was a w.i.p
It had a more modern 20v turbo and some updated brakes behind sticky tyre shod rims!
This coupe is what the owner of Mrc cut his teeth on, 600 bhp...
A trio of unloved looking hatches belonged to various lads in the workshop...
Lurking behind them was a jetta on rotiforms!
3 big hitting moderns now: the white s4 is a bit of an Internet star after hitting 204.4mph at bruntingthorpe earlier this year!!! The black one is a stage 3 supercharged 600bhp-ish monster, it was packing s green retrim which I couldn't seem to snap through the glass, and the silver estate had 750bhp and wore the 1st set of magnesium and carbon dymag wheels I've ever seen, 1600 each without tyres!!!
Finally lurking was this old Volvo, I was hoping it had a cheeky t5 lump to match the wheels, erm, no...v6 biturbo Audi engine is most of the way in....epic isn't even close!
Unfortunately a software error meant the dyno wasn't playing ball, so we didn't get a map or figures, however on a tip off we stopped at west tuning at thruxton on the way home, and found some gems!!!
Old manta/cavalier (I never know at that age) looked cool as we pulled in...
Unfortunately it wasn't
Hmm what else, red top powered mk1 Astra!
Ex German touring mk3 Astra saloon with air jacks and lashings of carbon under all the dust!!!
And non vauxhalls included this awesome carbon and satin gt3, and what's this, 2 sets of dymags in 1 day?!
Drool!
Racer
So yeah what an awesome petrol heady day! Hope you enjoy the pics, I'm going back from the heady heights of 350ish bhp to my little tat hauler starlet van...
Won't be moving anything this big though, passed it on the way!
Cheers, mike.
