I picked them up from the post office today, along with my bolt caps.
Someone asked me to show results and say how there fitted, so here goes.
1. Wash car (badly)
2. Wash wheels (reasonably)
3. The stripes come on a sheet, cut them into individualy backed stripes.
4. Wipe wheel rim with finger (black finger indicates wheel washing technique is poor)
5. Peel away about an inch of backing, stick end of stripe to rim
6. While pulling the stripe and peeling the backing, fix the stripe to the wheel with a finger. Its tricky to get it evenly spaced from the lip. Its probably easier with thicker stripes.
7. Repeat with the other 3 section
8. Repeat for other 3 wheels
9. Stand back with frozen hands and admire work. Shiver, swear a bit then go indoors
10. Finish last nights veg curry lasagne to try and warm up.
And thats all there is too it. It would probably have been easier/better to paint the stripes, but at least this way is cheap and will confirm if you like the look or not.
