Yes, I'm back after a good two years!!! I'll be getting a dog in the new year, something Rhodesian Ridgeback sized (ish, give or take). So I'm thinking an estate... Now, what cool RWD estates are there out there (other than the Amazon which i MUST own)? Preferably Japanese with enough go to make me get home in time for tea... Oh and pics/prices too, please! Budget will be around 1K You're very nice people

I've been thinking along the same line, replace my 306 with something more practical & cool. Fancied a Mazda 929 estate, but can't find one for sale anywhere & have no idea how much they're worth

929 wagons are TEH SCH1ZZN4|<.

Welcome back Cornfed I'm a big fan of Mazda 929 Estates. Pretty rare though, and I have fond memories of mine (formerly mrsigmas, latterly danblez's Staples 2 Naples chariot...) *sigh* Or, what about a Nissan 300C Estate?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I know they are FWD, but
Camry V6 estate? - either the 1987-91 shape or the 92-96 shape. Spotted Laurel has one of the latter.
Mitsibushi Sigma? (the early 90s Aussie built one) - there are a couple on Ebay at present
As for RWD, an early 80s Bluebird?. Ford Granada Mk11s with all the chrome look good, or a Merc w123?

I forgot about that pic, with the image of Stink in the corner... Random as fo0k! ;D ;D ;D
Good call on the Bluebird estate. I think they're a Banger boys fave so perhaps getting a bit rare nowadays.

Alright i know you would get a stagea for a grand, but these are good, a 525, or TD of some sort cool - yes rear wheel drive - yes japanese - no under a grand - yes enough go to make me get home in time for tea - yes! I guess a Rhodesian Ridgeback is big, right? otherwise i'd say one of these

How about a 2.8 Granny estate? Are they quick enough? Certainly big enough.
BMW is a good idea and I was looking for one myself but couldn't find one in the one day (!) I had to get a new car. Ended up with a Turbo Diesel pug 405 which is certainly cheap to run and even quite quick bot curse word all space and front wheel drive.

Id second Granada and Mitsubishi Sigma, I was gonna suggest Mazda 626 but its FWD, what about a Sierra 2.9 Estate? And maybe you could sod RWD and get the 4x4 one? They are cheap at the moment and the Ghia would be a palace on wheels as far as spec goes. (relatively speaking)

Hmm cheers guys... Not too keen on BMWs or Grannys I have to say... Not got the "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" factor like my AW11 or Toyota Sera... (List of cars owned includes 2x VW Beetle 74 & 68, VW Varient T3 and T4, Mistubishi Starion in NB and WB (2.6) forms, 1978 Sapporo, Honda Prelude and now the AW11 and Sera - should give you an idea of my preferences!)

VW owners always seem to become W123 owners.
you could get a real nice W123 benz estate for your grand! loads of space, RWD, cool as feck.
