A couple of weeks ago a post/thread by Will.C.Arter or maybe DBizzle led me across the internet to come across a planned Stance|Works breakfast meet at the premises of Type 2 Detectives near Cambridge. I figured that if the weather was looking OK, and nothing else was happening I might roll up and see how the cool kids do it. That day was today.
Breakfast starts late in the low-car world it seems as the meet wasn't due to start 'til 10 but I got there a little before when things were just finishing setting up and there were only about 20 cars around. I parked over in the far corner next to a super low Karmann Ghia and within an hour the place was rammed full and I was going to be there for the duration, blocked in by German cars. There was one other British car, a Mini (with DOHC power), a few Japanese and the remainder were air cooled VW or water cooled VAG products with a few BMWs mixed in too. Still, the Hillman seemed to go down well so that was nice.
Naturally a couple of the cars I knew of as T2D creations were there and it was good to see them in the metal rather than just as digital images on a screen.
The Porsche really is just too cool.
What I did learn was that quite a lot of people spend time cleaning their cars after they get to things like this, even though it seemed quite a casual affair to me. I just gave mine a quick wash before I left home. 'Must try harder'
Loads of people seemed to arrive at once, leading to a bit of a jam for a while
I'm sure I've seen a picture of this before on here.
I remember some discussion about this Golf a little while ago too. Good to see it and discuss the wheels with the owner.
Pretty funky cars parked all over. I saw this 6 series at the Uxbridge Autoshow last year.
This Golf was rather mint.
This K70 looks like its going to follow the usual T2D mould, which is no bad thing!
Another look at that Passat, just for rmad
Red squareback was one of my favourites. Just right.
Life and limb (and camera) risked to bring you bin-top photos.
So that's a flavour. Plenty more photos of plenty other tasty machines here so take a look:

Well done to the T2D crew for making everyone welcome!
