Nice bed wood DrDick, thats on my long list to do on mine as currently it appears to have a sheet of ply under the rubbing strips and due to a good few years out in the open its a bit rotten in places. I have all the dimensions to get timber machined to fit but its way down my list of priorities. Hmmm, the sheet of ply with the strips screwed to it seems to be a pretty common fix. The original wood was pine so no surprise it doesn't last long. I used teak so should last years. Luckily I work somewhere with access to surface planer, table saw etc so wasn't a hard job for me. I also found the teak in a skip!

AWESOME TRUCK. If there's one thing I aspire to own in my life, it's a Chevy Stepside! You are one lucky guy with a lot of talent and vision. Hats off to you bud. There's a Stepside I see every year at the Hotrod national's get together near me....finished in satin brown and all chrome refinished in gloss black. Looks pure evil especially when he parks up and drops it till the sills are buried in the grass! Much respect for what you've done here! Thanks alot mate

Got 2 of the tyres fitted to check for clearance. 225/45/18s front and will get 245/45/18s for rear asap. The truck will drop around 2" to 3" once settled.
