Reanimation, They have huge supermarkets. Walmart and the like. Its just odd, and its difficult to explain until you see it.
Seth, yeah, I know theres loads of stuff round my way, its just that you don't see much of it on the road often.

Thats 98 Rock FM - Louder Than The Devil's Wettest Fart. LOL. Lots of good rock, lots of cheesy rock. Most days they had Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Guns & Roses, Ozzy / Black Sabath, Maralyn Manson, Godsmack, Papa Roach, Evenesence, Pearl Jam, some Lynrd Skynrd sounding stuff... Daily slot "Things that you do that make you look less manly": my favourite was "Drinking with a straw - c'mon how manly do you look when you suck a straw, a real man should never been seen sucking ANYTHING!!!!" (cue jingle - 98 ROCK - We're BUTCH!). made me laugh so much one time a little bit of wee came out. different one every day. Some VERY un-PC ones too! The weather was fan-flippin-tastic. By October its great. Hurricane season is over, skys are blue and humidity is really low. Sun is very bright, hurts your eyes. makes them sore and stingy unless you wear good sunglasses. 80* F easy most days. saw 92* F a couple of days. Our poolside thermometer was clicking 78 or so by 8 am when I was having breakfast. Didn't drop below 74 or so overnight. Stays like this until about April. Lowest temp is mid 60s * F in January, usually low 70s though. May onwards it starts getting propper hot, with 100+ *F by July, and very high humidity. End of July/August it breaks, short but scary tropical rain storms and risk of hurricanes through to early/mid September. Avoid the keys and lower Atlantic coast especily during this time as these are where most hurricanes hit. Where we stayed was just a normal suburb type place. People with older cars and normal jobs. This was the view from the bottom of the garden (sorry, camera phone pic) Beautiful. lake was full of turtles, flamingos, wierd giant ducks, and cute little birds with funny long legs. Really, I'd suffer like hell if I lived there in the summer though. Even the locals don;t go outrside unless they have to round then! A more temperate climate is somewhere like NorCal. Take a run up to vinyard country above San Francisco and its lovely (Napa Valley or somewhere similar, both arid and lush at the same time...). 'bout 90 in the summer, bout 65 in the winter. low humidity. Only problem is risk of earthquakes and brush fires!
