Going a little OT. Thats obviously different, they would need to have the correct insurance to say they can drive the car here, as we do with a green card to drive in Europe. You couldnt register a car in the states going without having a registered adress, I know plent of people that have wanted to buy classics in the states and use them over there and its really difficult to get insurance.
I bought a Cadillac in Sweden in 2006 and drove it home, my broker at the time insured it on the VIN but it was a very grey area and the insurance companies have tightened up since then to stop people driving foreign registered cars around. I bought a 59 Chevy yesterday that needs registered so will no doubt be paying a visit to Borehamwood VRO very soon
