Hey everyone.
Ill be getting rid of my Classic Mini fairly soon to fund a newer, larger car.
Ive no idea how much the Mini is worth (the money Ive spent on her and sentimental value are stopping me from thinking about it too much..
)
Austin Mini City E. 1275cc (not sent off logbook for change yet as decided to sell after completing the engine swap due to oil leak on the old 998).
Restored 4 or 5 years ago (owned for 7 years by myself).
During the restoration she had new wings, bonnet, front panel, inner and outer sills, jacking points, seatbelt mounts, scuttle, scuttle closures, drivers door, boot lid, rear valance, rear valance closures and had various holes cut out to good metal and replaced.
MOT until November 2012
Had 12months tax put on it February.
It also has:
Interior retrim, spotless.
New rear subframe before engine swap.
New trailing arms.
Replaced all suspension (standard change)
Genuine revolution 12x6 alloys and all new yoko tyres within the past 4 months (I do very little mileage and will provide photos of tread when I get for sale pics).
comes with a genuine Autoplas dash (not fitted).
Astralli sports steering wheel.
Megajolt mappable ignition kit fitted (I have a selection of 1275 maps saved that ill include on a CD in case people want to play with it.
Genuine KAD lift/reverse quickshift (not fitted as lost a curclip in the engine swap)
Custom made Stainless steel exhaust with lifetime guarantee with longlife exhausts. (not the one pictured, its a standard looking two box affair).
And other little bits and pieces ive forgotten about.
Photos from the restoration:

This door got replaced.

Bad bits:
During the restoration the person doing it suffered from bad health and had to stop when he got to the rear wheel arches. so these parts just got a quick clean up, visual inspection, stonechip, waxoyl and final spray so he could get it back to us before he had to get taken into hospital.
As such we had to get the rear arches patched for the last MOT. The MOT station said the job was good enough to get through another one but it isnt pretty when looking at them from the boot.
There is also rust under the rear lights on the drivers side where it joins the boot floor (but cant be seen from inside the boot?)
Surface rust bubbles around the indicators on the wings.
Lacquer on the top of the wings is not smooth? Crazed? But can only see it up close.
Could do with a rolling road, There are no rolling roads in South Wales that work on megajolt so I never bothered. It drives fine, just seems to be a bit thirsty (nothing crazy, just less than the 998, then again maybe to be expected with a 1275?)
Ill be taking the for sale photos over the weekend probably and get her up for sale some time next week.
Just wondering what people think she is worth?
Thanks everyone!
(I may be on your club stand at the Singleton classic car show in south wales in June/May? if I have my replacement car by then
