If he had picked something else I might have been more impressed, for instance a charger done that way fair enough or a capri in zakspeed colours would be pretty cool. But any kind of capri done as the General Lee just looks wrong, work of art or not. How much cooler would it have been if it was something like this Admittedly the artist probably picked the general as a more common reference for most people to make it more popular, but since when has art been a popularity contest. If he'd done that to a charger i would have to kill him did see a carpi in general lee colours that looked quite good, had the right wheels, grille and even the cattle bar thing at the front. normally not the best of ideas though. also saw a vid once of someone trying to jump a modern car (no idea what) painted as the general and trashing it

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I rather like this! I think I'd be happier with the toy cars in my possession rather than the Capri though.... ;D

i think its great beat building a brick wall and lobing a can of paint at it to call art for sure as a car it was probably a pretty naff capri anyway . i remember going to riplys belive it or not in yarmouth once and seing an early honda civic covered in dimes no point to it but it looked pretty cool sorry but if your looking at as a waste of a good car then you must be mad you should be looking at it for what it is instead of moaning about what its not

just sent the seller this message are you having a laugh ?- thats the worst example of a capri i have ever seen you should be thoroughly ashamed of your efforts, and perhaps you should read the things people are saying about you on various car forums care in the community has a lot to answer for err it was done for charity dude? =are you abusive to the people at cancer research? Charity's Mission Statement To grant wishes of children and young people aged 3 to 17 living with life-threatening illnesses

I like the way it says "a second hand Capri" So, its not a brand new one then? why not? Or maybe they mean it as in "oh well if its second hand it must be knackered". I`m struggling with this one, its not a bad piece of work in itself, and I`m sure the Capri was a rough one, not that doing this has exactly destroyed it anyway, but I actually feel really itchy and unpleasant when I see objects tightly packed together in a pattern like that, so I cant really look at it without feeling uncomfortable. I got the same feeling looking at a picture of a Beetle covered in corks and also close up pics of tastebuds on tongues and things like that. I know its bizarrely off topic but anyone else get this feeling from these kind of things?

don't like the sound of spoon man`s "exhibits" either. And he wasnt doing it for charity so he`s probably just a flange.

Nah, I just don't think 'Art cars' are our thing to be fair, i'm always interested to see but always baffled by why, and the is it a waste thing. Were much more into actual cars that drive, thats all by the looks of it. This is different, an installation or summat. PS theres a 240 Volvo covered in vinyl records near me, this is used daily (naturally -its a volvo!), ii guess thats just a wierdly decorated daily though... Have you seen it hairnet? This Capri is on show at the guardian show in London on the 23rd, if i was near i'd take a look. What else have you got for us then Silvermachine.... ?
