Hey James
Basically, bring Drivers License, MoT and Insurance. That makes it nice and easy for the girls on the desk.
Track tickets are sold on the day, and they do go quick. We are looking into selling the am tickets before releasing the pm tickets this year though, so that should spread it out a little bit more.
You track ticket is for a session. So you get as many runs as you want/can fit in during that session. I think for most people it was between 3 and 5 last year.
TO EVERYBODY - If you are thinking of bringing a car on a trailer we really need to know in advance. We only have a certain space for cars on trailers, plus they need to enter at a differenct entrance, so it is a real logistical nightmare if people start turning up out the blue with cars on trailers.
Got a track car? No MoT etc? We wanna hear from you BEFORE the event to go through everything. If you rock up on the day with a track car and expect to play up the hill you might well end up disappointed.
Track tickets are sold on the day. They do go quick.

Basically, bring Drivers License, MoT and Insurance. Silly question - does the Insurance have to actually cover you for 'off-road' use (or whatever the tech term is) or is it just so they know you're legally driving it?

Keefy Monza will be on a trailer...... Just so you know I'm surprised! ;D Then again, seeing as you have the faff of getting trailered cars into the paddock I'd hope you'd know what to do and where to go! lol

I was wondering if it would feasible/preferred to limit the number of runs - say to 2 - and then allow more cars to go up the hill?
It would seem a shame to me that we didn't get as much variety going up the hill as possible, at the cost of the same car going up 5 times. Just thinking from a spectator and also, from getting more people involved in the hill.
Also - is it limited to cars of a certain age? I was a bit gutted not to be able to get a run up the hill last year but see a post 2000 Civic Type R going up the hill?

alolympic- thanks for the comments mate, we will take the feedback on board. It is very unlikely that things will change though, for this year especially. In the future, who knows .... We try and keep the cars going up the hill to pre '90. Sadly a few get through the net, but we do ask people to consider the nature of the event regarding the hill, club stands etc Jamesp - an email in advance would be appreciated please mate

That way, I don't get asked to do it again.

Indeed, and I've even bought a ticket already as Si's actual wife is coming this time However, I do fully expect to get roped into stand layeroutering again. Should be a bit quicker this time, but remember to buy two rolls of tape!

With regards to post 1990 =/= retro where would my Corrado stand? It's an 80's design but mine's a 1992 plate. Does that mean no retro parking and potentially no hill climb?
Also is there any chance of the hill climb being open on the Saturday for weekend ticket holders? That'd give day ticket holders more chance of getting a run.

Hoppum, a corrado would be welcome up the hill. The hill will definitely not be open on Saturday though

Hoppum, have you not been before? I'm guessing you haven't read the website? www.retroridesgathering.com/all basic info is on there, which includes mentioning that there IS retro parking

I know that there's retro parking but last year the cut off was 1990, I'm wondering if the corrado would get in ok or if it'll have to stay in the camping area.

Yeah, the cut off is 1990 but a Corrado is fine. You wouldnt be able to go up the hill unless you were inside the showground!
