I've been digging out some old photos and thought I'd scan a few in partly to have them electronically and also 'cos I thought they might bring back some memories for the old'uns and show some of the young'uns what they missed ;D These start in about '90..... First a couple of local cars that I thought at the time were quite tastefully modified. (Civic in the background) One of my dad's Vitesse while on holiday in Wales somewhere Always thought this Mk1 was awesome. Check the Toyota on the right. The Chevy is cool but I really scanned this as its the only photo I have of the Mk 1 Granny coupe sled. It didn't seem to go to many shows? Anyone got any better photos? 7/8th scale Pro Mod heaven! I mentioned this a few weeks ago for some reason. Proof I wasn't making it up! Juiced Rhino! This 33 Willy's could never get any better than how it looked here. And finally for the moment, also from a Hickstead Lazy Sunday ('91 I think) a rather bright hardtop bug. More to follow some time......

I've got a few pics knocking about too...probably a couple of Granzilla (was the owner's name Malcolm Darlow?)
That's definitely a 'Stang and not a Toyota, by the way.

Ah well, goes to show how fooled I am by the J 'stang copies It had got rather late last night so here's a few more.... Minisota at Chelsea cruise winter '91/92 Nigel Grimshaws Mazda, photo taken in the Emap car park when I went to interview Russ Smith for some GCSE English coursework I was doing. The Smoke City bus. I ended up joining the club a couple of years later when I got my A35. Two of the most infuential rods of the day? Geoff Cousins 34 and Phil Rutherfords '33 And finally for the moment a couple from when I blagged a couple of days work experience at Tyrrell. Wasn't really allowed to take photos but the guy who made the wind tunnel model let me I also got a bent steering arm from the guy who inspected the suspension post race. It was bent in the Mexican GP that year - can't remember the driver but it was someone who had difficulty staying on the black stuff.....

Autohaus, I was in the lower sixth and we all had to do some work experience so I wrote to all the F1 companies. To my amazement one of them said yes! And some more photos Do tell me if I'm boring you and I'll stop! This is still about. Here at the Nats in '92 Wheels up every time Chelsea, late '92 That winter came across this A35 van when I already new I wanted on as my first car. Doubt it's still there. The Jag was pretty far gone... Avon Park Nostalgia Nats early '93 In the pits at the Pod. Scanned this to send to Steve Lang but its too cool to leave out!

Fantastic pic's Seth! I thought Granzilla was a great car, it got me back into buying custom mag's for a while as I was so pleased to see somebody chopping cars about and grafting other bits on. Thought it was a shame he left the front more or less stock.
I have far too few taken at shows from this era. Will try a to dig a few out soon though.

Great photos mate, brought back a lot memories, saw a lot of the above cars at Thurrock cruise in the very early 90's before the chavs ruined it. Wasn't that Granada called 'Granzilla' or something like that? Probably still got the Street Machine issue it was in.
