Hi, hopefully this doesn't contravene the rules but it seems more manageable using one thread to list these cars. Below are several vehicles owned by a friend that might make good projects... All are in the Peterborough/Whittlesey area and have been standing. I have not done an extensive survey of condition.
1. Ford Sierra Laser. 1991 approx, 1600cc I think. CAT C for lock damage but lock set included. Very tidy rot free body but might need minor work to ends of sills. About 111K on clock. minor dent to o/s/r door will pop out. £395. 17/03/14 Still there but might be keeping. A couple more have appeared too.
2. Mazda 323 saloon with private plate. Good order with V5, not damaged. £295 17/03/14 still available. Got this going not so long ago as someone was interested but didn't view. Runs very well.
3. Volvo 240 Estates. There's a couple plus larger engined ones. Both pictured have V5's and run and drive. the pale blue one has spare panels the same colour in the back. Roof rack not included on A reg one. £395 each 17/03/14 still there...
4. Volvo 480 turbo. CAT C but with no obvious damage other than a missing wheel - now replaced. I think it had about 140k on clock. Tatty nat-asp engined one also available minus wheels (stolen) £395 and £250 respectively. 17/03/14 still around...
5. VW Golf big bumper 1.8. low miles 75k approx and very clean interior but head lining dropped at back. CAT C but does have V5 and bits included. £395. 17/04/14 still around and worth doing...
6. Forgot to write the details about this one but it's a diesel auto but with cambelt gone. exciting features include a cool box inside and fitted curtains... £250 17/03/14 still there...
7. 1970 Triumph Spitfire £395 17/03/14 still there...
Recently saved (yes he's still buying)... No V5 but still on DVLA computer so V5 could be applied for, registered 1970 so tax free. Vin tags missing as car partially stripped. The body is rough but the flip front pretty good apart from inner arches; still very usable. Chassis and running gear look good and have seen work. No patching evident on chassis, but front outriggers need a bit of straightening. The engine looks like its has received work and may be recon but no evidence to prove and parts missing so not able to get it to run. probably worth it for chassis running gear and tax free status...
8. Volvo 340 GL rubba-band-o-matic-nice-cheese-grommit! £295 really for bits now as parts used for another car. Still largely complete apart from some front end bits.
Okay bit of a tenuous link there. Anyway it's an auto with the DAF variomatic system on it. The car is actually very clean and original, having covered just under 58K. It is a CAT C for the superficial damage to n/s and tailgate. The sill has a little damage to it but a couple of doors would improve it no end. The interior is in good condition and tyres are all branded. Spark plugs and oil filter are genuine Volvo so has been well serviced. Body is rot free as far as I can see. It's got the old Renault 1.4 fitted. Worst issue is that the pan holding the n/s/f spring has rusted out and the suspension has dropped a bit. It's part of the suspension arm I think rather than anything body related.
Needless to say there are a lot of other cars including AX's, BX's (mine came from here) ZX's, Xantias. Few Renault 5's including a Mk1.
Please let me know if there's interest. As I said they've been standing and will need work and a good wash!
