	Wrong - as of April 2014 all cars made before the 1st of January 1974 will be tax free.

	Found on Gumtree: '89 W124 200e Saloon, 120k miles - £800, Edinburgh www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/mercedes-200e-saloon/1039620216 Sounds like a family owned car and it's being sold from a relatively posh pad in a smart part of town. Someone buy it before I do... Edited to say... I'm going to see this at half six tonight. Further edit: One owner from ten months old, main dealer servicing in Edinburgh until relatively recently, unbelievably clean and unworn interior. Super-basic, manual windows, no arm-rest etc. The seats and steering wheel were covered until about six months ago so they're like new. Rusty arches, no rear/underside rot. Four new tyres. Good oil, good pressure, clean coolant. Too slow and too manual for me, I said I'd get it for my Dad for his Christmas but he says he wants one like mine (faster, automatic). PM me if you want the guy's number. He's selling it for the family of the recently departed former keeper. Not shy about being keen to be rid of it, I could've had this tonight for five or six hundred.

	Found this by accident earlier. I'm a bit tempted. From the ad: "Update 16/3/14 STILL AVAILABLE Fantastic opportunity to own the last surviving Subaru Justy GL11 4wd. These awesome little cars are incredible - the original super mini with cheap road tax, very economical 3 cylinder engine, and selectable four wheel drive at the press of a button on the gearstick. This car is my third Justy, and easily the best one I've owned, with just over 48,000 miles on the clock, no real signs of wear or abuse, a full fresh MOT and the fact that it's the only one of this exact model left in the UK it's going to become an appreciating classic. I'd love to keep this car, but I have an older Land Rover which demands my attention, as well as hogging the garage space. I originally bought this with the intention of passing it on to my daughter, but she's just gone and bought a Renault clio, so this will not get used.
