I was just reading the old edition of Retro Cars that had these featured. Both stunning, although the Stiletto for me is the absolute winner. I just love the design of them, would love one some day. Great that yours has been in the family so long too. We want more pics!

I too never knew they did a van variant of the Imp , looks fantastic!
That Stilletto though , man I love those lines and the colour compliments them so well! Roofline makes it kinda look like the b@stard love child of a Hillman Imp and a Mk2 Ford Escort. haha
Superb pair of motors mate , very jealous.

The van is mighty cool, but that Stiletto is just beautiful! Too bad these cars are pretty much non-existent over here in mainland europe, I love their looks.

Some fabulous comments here The Stiletto is the original colour, and we restored it over 10 years ago now... it's lasted well! I'm really excited about getting my other Stiletto finished, although i guess it does mean i will then officially own a pair of Stiletto's... It is hopefully going to be something very special and very very different. I was actually really surprised when RetroCars went for the van for the mag article over the Stiletto as everybody seems to prefer it. Hey Gurn! Yes i thought it was about time i posted on this forum having been browsing here for some time now. We're up for the Wicked Welsh as usual; just depending on my work schedule which i don't know that far in advance at the moment. Rach is driving the Imps now... you have been warned!!! ;-)

The Too bad these cars are pretty much non-existent over here in mainland europe. There's quite a few in NL and one or two in Fra and Bel plus a good number in Finland. But as they were not made in huge numbers they'll always be fairly rare.

Yeah i felt a bit strange taking the cars to the NEC for that show as i had to rush away with work on the Saturday and abandon them on the stand... my parents eventually going on the train to collect them after the show had finished! Was nice seeing them get so much attention though i have to admit. People would say they either used to own one BITD or just had absolutely no idea what they were. Soooooo many people said they had never seen an Imp Van before. Thanks for posting those photo's btw!!!
The van should be receiving a new engine over the summer so will certainly be much (much!) quicker, plus a few other subtle upgrades. It's pretty much as i want it now though apart from that.

Haha... yes, good spot! My other hobby is restoring 80's BMX as I used to race them BITD. Here's a quick sampler of my collection. ...and here is a MkII Raleigh Night Burner that I restored for somebody around 12 months ago. I usually have a couple in the back of the van when attending car shows; much more fun than walking around the campsites!!!! ;D
