I rather like the exhaust actually, I think it all kind of builds up; at first glance it could just be a very tidy-looking low MkIII on some very tasty wheels, but then you see the stinger and it hints at something interesting going on. And sure enough, it's about as interesting as a MkIII gets.
And they've finally found a solution to the rear wheel moving forward in the arch when you lower a MkIII/IV ;D
Exactly!
the full beauty (odd word to descirbe a german car) slowly reveals itself, the bigger picture is even more jaw dropping that what is put right in front of you.
I gives me a really retrofuturistic feel to it.
Like it was conceived in 1972 before the whole VW range switched to an FF layout.
There has always been a solution to the inverted rear beam swing arm problem in the form of 'grateplates'
these relocate the rear beam countering the negative swing of the beem, centering the wheel in arch again.
The sad truth is a large stake of Mk1-4 and mk6 Golf owners are so blinkered they do not experience cars outside of there own area of interest. So the wheel not being in the middle of the arch is probably glossed straight over as being normal.
I want to shake every owner and let them know how much it stands out and looks horrible.
..Oh wait...Rich606 you were being sarcastic right ? ;D
