I've tried the usual suspects, and as usual, I get "the Insurance Group For Your Car Cannot Be Determined" or "The Underwriters Have Pre-Declined This Risk Error"
Or I just can't even pick the make from the "make" drop down LOL....
Anyone managed to find someone who will day (or week) insure an oddball, imported, old, whatever type of car?

I have a feeling your best bet will be to have a go at piggybacking it on to a current policy or starting a policy then cancelling within the cooling off period.

no. I've found they also won't touch anything even slightly modified with a barge pole. Damned annoying.

I guess you've tried your insurer? I know mine offers temporary cover on an extra car, but I haven't tested that on 'not-on-the-list' cars  Saying that, could you not just add it permanently temporarily on your policy? One more car on your long list wouldn't make much difference would it? Can I ask what it is? I'm intrigued |

Cheers I may try them for my renewal as well.
I would do some jiggling on my current policy it just it pains me to pay like £31 in admin fees to do so when the policy expires on 4th March... My plan was to get all my car changes and choices sorted out and then renew on the basis of the new fleet rather than pay admin fees to change them over
Hence I have two cars going on eBay tonight.
My possible/new cars are in Devon and Somerset respectively so I can't go, deposit, come back after March 4th really.

rang my insurer. they said for £15.90 they'd just stick it on my existing policy. job done.
