Got my renewal through from my insurer. £260 fully comp for the fleet of 6 cars. I ask about swapping the 5.7 Pontiac for a 7.5 Oldsmobile and the 1.6 VW for a 7 litre Chrysler and you know what £235 fully comp. Including business use. Which I don't think I need now, so £199 renewal. six cars, all but 2 are V8s, all but 1 is LHD, all but 1 grey imports, all mods declared, agreed values, right of salvage, right of own repair, includes breakdown cover, windscreens, parts off the vehicle, legal protection... I'm not bitching about insurance. EDIT: I even got a little "x" kissy on the last email they send LOL Gotta love 'em.

£199 renewal. EDIT: I even got a little "x" kissy on the last email they send LOL Secret admirer? Haha. They'd make a loss the first time you got a cracked windscreen! edit: Should I say shattered windscreen looking at the age of your cars?

And to think, I was pleased about knocking mine down to under £300 on a modded 1850 Dolly. Though to be fair, I think you've got a few years on me ;D

that is awesome, i thought i was doing well with a Modded Fiesta and Sierra for £124 quid! That's awesome! I bet most of your price drop was removing the VW for some awesome American metal!

Fixed for ya. ;-) Sorry, anal insurance broker here. You don't present much of a risk - you can't drive them all at once, there's every chance you'd fix any damage yourself rather than claim, father etc. etc. - but that's still phenomenally cheap isn't it?! Then again, he made enough money selling up to AON I should think, perhaps he's subsidising the policies in his new venture?!

I do hate youth sometimes. My 80bhp 1.6td Passat was a few pounds over £1000 this year (would have been ~800 if I'd paid in one lump).
Sounds like you got an awesome deal there, I really can't wait for mine to start dropping a bit more. Although I'm sure any insurer's going to have a fit when I try and get the Mini on the road, oh well, at least the Q plate should help.

but apart from the dub and the am and the fairmont (ish) the ins is for projects ;D doesn't make any difference. they are all insured fully comp for road use. Insurer doesn't know if they are on the road or not. At this price I don't bother with laid up insurance.

It would have cost me MORE to put mine on laid up insurance than on road going fully comp!
