So i didnt really know where to put this so mods please move if there is a more suitable section but I'm sure some of you will find this useful.
I live in liverpool and there is an empty unit in the centre of the city that has been taken up by this charity (healthy planet) basically they collect books from landfill, skips and house clearances etc and give them away free to save them from pulping.
Retros point of this is, the past 2 times i have been in they have had quite a few haynes manuals. Friend got a Volvo 240 one and today i picked up a Nova one which is basically brand new.
Each time i have been in there have been a few, i left behind carlton and cavalier issues. These are totally free and usually in very good nick. These shops are located up and down the uk and you can take between 3 and 6 books each time so work a gander if there is one near you to see if there are any haynes in them!
Website with locations of shops here : www.healthyplanet.org/projects/books-for-free.aspx
hope you find something worthwhile!
