So I've got quite a few thousand pics on my hard drive of various cars, collected over the years when I had nothing better to do from various places on the Internet. I've just been looking through some, and I need help identifying these Japanese ones... Can you help? 1Quite heavily modified obviously, but the back lights/windows don't give me any clues...

TA40 Carina I think. VV Like this...except with more doors. Not an uncommon sight in the UK until recently I would say. VV I'm sure RatDat and Datsuncherry will fill us in on the rest.

I thought it might be a Toyota, but a nagging voice in the back of my head was saying Daihatsu so I wasn't sure!

6 seems to be wearing a Mitsubishi badge, am I wrong? Dunno! Is it some sort of early Colt/Mirage then? I quite like the crease over the front wheel, very interesting...

It could be a Colt, but the J car mob should be able to correct us whenever they're logged in.

Hello! I'll do my best, its quite an interesting selection... This one is a Toyota Century, one of the few Toyota designs that had very little engineering changes over the years. I'd say that production of this one spanned over 2 decades. I'm fairly sure that this one is a Toyota Publica, we got these as the updated Toyota 1000 in the mid seventies. RWD, and the predessor of the Starlet. The original Sunny coupe known as the B10. Very pretty little car, shame we never got them. We had the saloons and estates, as Datsuns first imports into the country in 1968/9. Eddie has one of these in 4 door saloon form (his car is the first Datsun in the UK) - he might even have might two. I know another club member has a 2 door estate. Yep! A C210 Skyline. Strangely enough this car was marketed as a Van. I think this looks better than the coupe. I have a feeling that this might be a Daihatsu...but let me check my guides.... Hmmm...might be a Toyota Soarer. At a guess this an Isuzu. I think this might be a Nissan Leopard. I get very confused with the eighties J-cars! This cute van is a bit of a mystery - Either a Honda, Daihatsu or Suzuki. Again I'm sure I've got documented somewhere.... I'll make a point of checking later when I get home. I do like puzzles......

1. Toyota Century
2. Unsure, very close to a Honda L700 but a little odd grill wise.
3. Nissan Sunny B10 Coupe
4. Nissan Skyline GC210 Estate/Van
5. Subaru Sambar
6. Mitsubishi Minica Ami55
7. Toyota Carina TA40
8. Toyota Soarer
9. Toyota MarkII
10. Another 80's Toyota of sorts, unsure but can't be bothered looking it up ;D

The little Subaru's an odd one. It's tiny! Think of the looks you'd get pulling up next to VW bay window campers at shows! People would think it's a toy VW!
