I think were you to live in a fortified house in an accessible area, the moaning from the surrounding sea of zombies would probably drive you insane. The best bet would be to live in the middle of nowhere - like in the depths of Siberia, where the zombies would a) never find you and b) be frozen stiff anyway (presuming that zombies are cold-blooded). I would not be able to live somewhere remote, as i have plans to take over an NCP car park and build the most epic car collection known to man, kinda like noa and his ark but a car park and 2 of every epic car ever built

Haha, I've spent many any evening plotting my survival. Basically leave the cities. Built up areas = people, people = zombies. P.S. That house would be a piece of pee pee to get into.........the hinges for the big windows/door are on the outside. Gimme a petrol 9 inch grinder and we'd be chowing on brains within the hour.

And I know where one is in Somerset! Went in it when I was a lad, but it got burnt out and sealed properly... Tbh I'd rather be above ground vs Zombies!

I used to play in the local Nuclear bunker as a teenager, ours was one of four around London designed for the Government/Parliament/Cabinet to run the country from. Was 2 storey above ground and 2 below, sunk into the side of a small hill in a wooded part of Chislehurst. www.subbrit.org.uk/rsg/sites/c/chislehurst/Got bought and turned into a dead posh home on the market for millions lol

This! Love this show, better than topgear too.
Wierdly I have been thinking about an apocalypse and how I would defend myself, it would have to be a 2 inch thick steel shed with come cool gun hatches.....

In all seriousness, Butterz and I had a very lengthy discussion about this on a long roadtrip. We weren't talking about zombies here, but a more realistic 'apocalypse' where there is a breakdown in society and complete civil unrest/anarchy. If that was the case, then lots of guns and massive defences (we concluded) were not the answer. We both came to a very similar and surprising conclusion but I won't publish it here because it's probably not the kind of fully loaded gunfest survivalist answer this thread is looking for. Ok, I NEED to hear this

Hello all, Long time lurker here but this is my first post, I felt I had to comment once the subject of the Zombiepocalypse arose. I have the perfect solution, not applicable to everyone obviously but for me, living about 15mins from Dover it's perfect. I intend to set up home onboard one of the cross-channel ferries, anchored in the middle of the harbour, something like this...... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Spirit_of_Britain49,000 tonnes and 689' of floating zombie proof shelter, if you think about it this is the ultimate solution, as long as the fuel lasts umlimited electricity, after that plenty of room to fit wind turbines and solar panels. Not forgetting that there's all that room for old cars on the vehicle decks, it's a win-win situation! James

A large EMP or solar flare would probably make the fuel injection computer in my car work properly so I could roll about in that; there's plenty of fuel available here, just suck it up out the ground and stick it through fractional distillation.
No self respecting zombie would come here anyway

Diesel Musso and veggie oil stockpile will keep me mobile, the rest I will work out on the road I'm interested too! id think about fortifying my house with lookout on house roof and shed roof in my enclosed back yard, and going out scavenging weapons and supplies but would also consider moving to a more defensible base so idk obviously some sort of awesome vehicle and weapons would need constructed for scavenging... my gf's dad lives round the corner and is a hunter so has load of rifles and shotguns so either get him on board or if he is a zombie steal them, that would do for a start to go out gathering more stuff
