Nice project. I think Hadrian panels make new standard wings if you need some.

some very good work indeed. i was a bit concerned about the shell twisting but the pros did not let me down. but i have a fixed strut brace and it fits perfect.

been busy, had all the running gear blasted and powdercoated. got a few more bit going in this week. The car is going off for its final fabrication work in jan so i need to get it rolling again. Also had a large delivery from flowflex got a full set of poly. very tight fit in places and alot of swearing but there in and i aint taking them out again. So i fitted engine crossmember, quick rack and tca's Got my leaf spring back from gartrac they have been decamber 2". just in the process of grinding the front of them down to 50mm to fit a mk1. and pulled my new gas dampers out and fitted new polys. these look a really good bit of kit. Also got my buckets seats out of storage, only to find that cobra have stopped doing base mounted subframes for a mk1 so i mate of mine who works for an engerneering firm knocked some up for me to fit the welded bars you can pick up from rally design. CAD image of base mount This week I'm hoping to finish the rear leafs and get the rest of the running gear back from the powder coaters. need to get this rolling asap. so i can see if I'm gonna keep these wheels [/quote]

Well after alot of grinding on the leaf springs to get them to fit. I got all the parts i needed blasted and powder coated ready apart from the axle and its still need tramp brackets welded on. i can now get the rear end back on its wheels and to see how it look with my alloys. -2" decambered springs and lowering blocks sits really nice, but my garage is not wide enough to get a decent shot. IMO the wheels look sweet and sit really nice and low still sitting on block of wood as i couldnt get the trolly jack out once lowered ;D should have the front sorted next week so i can roll it out and have a good look

Shell has gone up north to BB Motorsport (the guys responsible for the very low mk1 estate in classic ford a few months back) for the final fab work. Had a good chat with Ben and Jo up there and I'm please she is in there capable hands. Ben will be sending me updates so ill post as and when. it was good to get her out the garage and see how she sits. front end sits way to high and that is with an engine in minus crank and pistons so that will need to be sorted. rear end sits well from the side but from the rear it looks really high so might have to come down a little more. its already been decambered by 2" and has 2" lowering blocks and if your interested in what work is being done its written down the side of the car. ;D ;D

Impressive build! That orange grille is not out of place either. thanks if i was bulding the car purley, for track / drag, i think i would keep the orange and probably add a few bits, but I'm looking for a nice clean finish, colour scheme will be the classic blue on the bonnet and and roll cage etc will be a grey/silver
