I'm going to space them quite tightly, to look more like a Mercury nose. Don't worry though, I doubt there'll actually be any blame, I really do think it's an awesome idea. ;D

I'm not 100% sure yet, but I suspect with the backing plate painted black combined with how far back they sit they'll actually look fine. Failing that, I'll cut down and polish the original trim, though I know that's going to be a lot of work and I might be better attempting to sell them to get my cash back.
