Thanks Dude, I was pointed to this by Dangermouse the other day and I'm currently trying to get hold of the guy....even just for the seats (they *appear* to be better than mine) it's got to be worth the money, then there is the wheels, the engine and anything else that I could keep as spares. Fingers crossed.  No updates at the moment, I currently have zero money and don't want to start pulling things apart fully until I know I don't need the ramp for a good few weeks. Over the next few months I'll be selling a few of the cars to make space and also to give some funds so that I can get started properly on this. Apologies for lack of progress in the meantime. |

LOL - I was pretty excited yesterday wasn't I? Ratlook Elite anyone? Don't mind if I do!    Yep, it does need a fair bit of work, but it would seem there is more to this Elite than first meets the eye. I was even happy to pay a bit more than the asking price... Massive thanks to Daryl (Dangermouse) and Callumaspinall for pointing me in the direction of this car. It had sold on eBay for £360 but I ended up snagging it for £200 after the seller decided I was a more suitable purchaser for the car. AWSOME! More details to come when I collect it next week. |

Threads like these are really baaaaaad for my ebay addiction! I'm spending far too long staring at cars that I have nowhere to put let alone work on at the moment. Roll on new house and workshop as I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed a fix  Loving the Lotus. |

The good point of having two of them is that you can have one stock and one crazily modified. You save both anyway so the rest is up to you (and that's a very good thing)...

Sorry Dude, no updates at the moment. This is mainly due to me being more manic juggling more things than ever before! I'm trying to arrange a trailer for next week to collect the other Elite, getting my Delica MOT'd and tax so I can tow the trailer, my Hustler is being collected on Saturday so theres lots to sort at the unit to get it out and ready for the new owner, I'm hopefully collecting another new project next week which means sorting insurance, MOT etc...then actually collecting it. On top of that I'm trying to raise as much money as possible in a very short space of time to pay for it all (this is the most difficult part!) If I am able to collect the Elite next week then there should be some new updates to follow, but in the meantime, I apologise about the lack of info and photos. Hopefully this will be addressed if things start going to plan? Fingers crossed  |

Yes! I'm glad you've ended up with it matey, I saw the advert but presumed as it he been viewed something like 150 times it had been spotted by someone from our own church  and passed your way. Absolutely loving the progress on this and the first few touches on the Landie! I pick the SLK up on Friday, I've taken your wobble bolts advice and am watching some cheeky wheel sets on the bay at the minute ... metallic brown wrap for the body you say? |
