So I'm trawling my 10,000 + strong collection of photo's, and I've found a few randoms that may or ma not (probably the latter....) interest you lot!
Most of these are based around cars me or my mates have owned/thrashed.... I'll add brief stories to each photo if you ave the patience, have a read as well as a perve!
My first foray into the world of the Toyota Starlet KP60.... this wee sucker cost me a grand $100, and I acquired a welder, and did an "effective" welding job on the rear hatch to get it road legal. All up, $130 on the road, she ran an awesome 2K 1000cc engine, had a pink tartan interior, and not a straight panel on her. Qual.
Keeping on the KP theme, this is my current one (albeit with ugly wheels) alongside a good friends J Import KP61 Si.... fuel injected 4K goodness!
These two awesome Toyota's belonged to a couple of very good mates of mine back in Christchurch. The two-tone Levin, is actually an AE85, converted to a 4AGE and AE86 suspension and brakes, the single tone red one on the 5 spokes is a genuine AE86 GTV (lightweight model) with a bluetop 4AGE, TRD shocks, and a TRD 1.5 way LSD.
A meetup of mates, prior to an epic journey across the South Island. Great stuff there, eclectic mix of old and new.
The abovementioned AE85.6, my Sud and my friends 4K powered KP62 4dr Starlet, in an impromtu photoshoot one night.
The Starlet above.... it's running a fairly worked 4K, cam, ported head, large valves, extractors, twin 40mm Dellortos and so on, sounds so angry.....
This! Now this is cool. TT140 Corona GT-R coupe a friend and I owned, this beastie featured lowered suspension by Hitachi, a rancid side exit exhaust courtesy of whatever we had lying round, and a MIGlock diff for all important sideways action! Sadly, it was stolen.
A haaawwwt GTV6 that used to live around the corner from me, check the brakes
We did this as a laugh, basically the main rice racer show of the year was on in town, so we tacked a bunch of cartons on this poor old Prelude as a parody, and lapped town in it playing killer 80's music tracks. The brakes ended up overheating due to our tinfoil moon discs.
And finally, a couple of pics to show the Alfa gets used, thrashed and abused when I feel like it. These were taken at an Autocross a year or so back, absolutely bundles of fun, can't wait to get my Starlet out and about at one!
Hopefully that gave you fellas a moment of something interesting
