What was the first car you had on the road (legally!!) Mine was a 1978 Fiat 127 back in 1992, one lady owner, 45000 miles and there was green mould on the inside of the headlamps because she never drove at night. It needed 2 tyres so I bought 4 spotlamps instead. Fell apart with rust after 2 years.. Has led to an infatuation with old italian rustbuckets.

My first road legal one was a gold Hillman Imp. Dead standard, except for the twin stromberg CD125 carbs I fitted, and a smaller steering wheel (have you seen the bus sized wheels all Rootes cars use? )

That would be nice to have NOW!!! Does a T reg have the chrome & the small rear lights?? or was that earlier again?? it did have chrome inset into the bumpers I'm sure, and the tail lights where not very big. It was a great car 1600 with 4 speed box and a decent interior. Those 4 speed VW boxes are great too very tight shift.

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

A 1987 Skoda Rapid Coupe in black, bought in 1996. Such a great car - loads of fun and plenty of poke for a 1.3! After convincing my mates that it was actually very cool, it blew a head gasket on the way to the pub . Cost me a tenner to fix though!

1978 Mk1 Fiesta 1300 Sport, Silver and Primer Grey with Red Oxide Scallops (courtesy of Rmad, i believe). Lovely car, eventually died a while after I managed to set the engine alight. I think the comment at the time was "why is the paint on the bonnet bubbling?" I can remember sitting on the back of the rear seat on the first day you could take that out, cruising round the strip @ Dartford

My first car was a 1956 Austin A35, lowered with Midget carbs, disc brakes and rostyles ;D Brush painted burgundy with seats fitted from an old Toyota Celica. It was ace Before I had a licence I had an Austin 1300 and when I passed my test I had loan of my dads pale green Mk4 Cortina which was auto and really slow It had the engine replaced with a 1.3 Pinto from a German Ford (Taunus I think)...man it was slow and it handled like a boat!

1980 Toyota Tercel. Bought new. Never did find out how fast it was. Got a speeding ticket from the RCMP for doing 150kmh. Four people and luggage.
I was slowing down at the time. ;D
Pulled into a service station for air. The attendant asked me when they came out with a diesel. Replaced the camshaft the next day. Only major repair I had.
