	I am getting itchy modification fingers already and thought I might try fitting the above into my HB. The steering with its 185 tyres around town is a touch heavy. Not too bad really but apart from the car smelling of petrol (as old cars should) other than the heavy steering it drives/handles like a modern car and I like to tinker so why not. So far I have found this older info... www.migweb.co.uk/forums/other-mechanical-electrical/160158-pics-info-corsa-eps-rack-those-interested.html and this fella here on the viva club forum has fitted it to his Viva... www.vauxhallviva.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=11482 I have found out that the columns are here in NZ but prices seem silly. Like about 300 quid for the column alone then I have to buy a piggy back box on top of that. I will continue hunting and try find a cheap one. So my questions today are; how cheap are the piggy back boxes now? The ones that allow you to vary the assistance. And where can I get one. Its not at all a common mod here in NZ so I will have to import form Blighty. What other cars have similar systems, assisted columns, that I might be able to use? 	Before you start cutting the dash etc about to fit the electric column have you explored the option of simply using a traditional PAS rack ? Some modern cars have electric PAS pumps so no need to attach a mechanical one to the engine. Paul H

	no i have not looked into that. But there is little room under the sump for much other than the viva rack. Hopefully i wouldn't need to cut the dash at all. So far the eps column looks the easiest way. Anyone else on rr fitted one?

	Hi Alex, Digged up this very old one. As I own a Volvo Duett (544 station wagon) and read in some very old dodgy Swedish forum that you can fit a Vauxhall/Opel Corso or Kadett electric power steering or manual steering rack in a Volvo instead of the original ZF classic steering box (with mostly tonnes of play) but that you have to use a RHD box upside down. Did you succeed with he project and might you have some pictures which I could nick as reference? Thom
