Tomorrow I am collecting a Eunos V-Special which I will be breaking.
The engine has the crank pulley/woodruff key issue which can be fixed, but the engine & box might (possibly) already have a dibs on it...I will know more by the end of the weekend.
The rest of the car is up for grabs. I will know more tomorrow after I have picked the car up, but for now, here are some following details for anyone looking for MX5 bits:
1.6 (115bhp) manual in British Racing Green and tan leather interior. Very unusual (but very cool) 7x15" 4-spoke alloys, good bodywork all round, LSD, A/C, electric windows, Mazdaspeed roll bar etc...
The car is currently running and driving, so I will be able to give it all a good road test before breaking it. This gives me a chance to check that the brakes etc....are all working OK.
If you are interested in anything, please let me know. I will update with photos and a lot more details after the weekend.
Many thanks,
Bruce.
[update] I've just collected the car and driven it home - I'm in no state to be taking it to the unit and doing anything with it yet!
Here are some shots I took in the failing light just to give an overall idea of the car. I cannot find a single dent on the car anywhere. NONE! It needs a damn good wash and a damn good t-cut/polish, but it's actually in remarkably good condition.
(this one was taken before I pulled the headlight covers back up into alignment)
The wheels are in superb condition and would polish up SO easily. I will probably do this anyway. They look so much nicer in the flesh and would really suit the car well if it was lowered.
The hood is in remarkably good condition....and I am actually pretty impressed with it as a car overall. More details and photos to come when I am feeling better.....
