...those arches are begging for some dish ^THIS^ Looks like a sweet purchase! How's the interior? Does it have the stainless teardrop speaker trims on the door cards? I prefer if without the side skirts personally...but I might know of some (possibly) - I'll ask and see if he's still got them. I reckon it's crying out for a front lip though. Ah thats cool then, any idea of the make? I test drove a few but all the ones with aftermarket exhausts sounded pretty bed. I'll check the paperwork that's with it and see if I can find a reciept. As I said I was led to believe it was a Mazdaspeed item, but I'm not so sure of that now, as I can't find any mazdaspeed twin outlets.

The interior is all there and complete , speaker covers and everything , the drivers seat could use some feed and possibly a re-dye but it's perfectly reasonable. I quite like it without the skirt too, problem is there's a defined lip where the arch ends, it looks like the skirt should be there to tie in, that said it's the same story at the front, and there's no skirts there at all, so I could live with it. I'll have to take it off and see what horrors are lurking.

I'd been pondering one for a while, they're dirt cheap at the moment too.
If I'm brutally honest, as much fun as it is, I'd rather be driving my 924S, the Eunos feels a lot more plastic and a lot more cheap than the German 1980's Sports 2+2, but for the money that they can be had for, there's no beating, and it sips fuel compared to anything else that you'll have this much fun in.

I stand corrected, I had it in my mind that all V-Spec's were 1.8's for some reason. Everything I've read says their a 1.6 and mines a 1.6 on the V5, so that'll do for me. To be honest, I know people say that they're underpowered (I can imagine the later 89bhp 1.6's are a bit!) but this 115bhp in a car as light as the one I'm using doesn't feel under-powered, especially if you drive it past 4k rpm. Infact I often read reviews about cars and wonder if the person driving actually understands the concept of using a gearbox and revving an engine to the right part of the rev range to use the power.

I had an '89 Eunos Roadster so the very earliest 1.6 and I loved it, if you revved it properly it went very nicely. The guy across the road from me has a 1.8 Eunos but has owned about four or five others in the past and he says he prefers the 1.6 when it comes to driving, reckons they pull better, so I guess it's down to driving styles and willingness to rev it properly.

Looks a rally nice example, good purchase.
MX5parts have removed the GV lips from sale as they are having quality issues and there is some discussion going on MX5nutz about whether the ones MX5parts were selling were in fact replica lips and not pukka ones as the site suggested.

Most people's mistake with the '5 is that they don't drive it properly - the rev needle's happy to go all the way round... K&N with a cold air feed does wonders too.

Haha that looks pretty cool, those arches are begging for some dish I'd keep an eye out for a standard exhaust though, they sound so much nicer! I swapped some parts I had for these wheels. They work well... Yes yes, needs to go lower, needs alignment, etc. I know all that.
