Hi all, looking on the interweb looks pretty straight foward as its easy to work with, problem is, all the pic i see seem to have a sand paper coarse texture on them? Anyway around this like a smooth finish paint? Or will wet and dry remove this texture? Also i presume it can still be cleaned with soap and water? The car in question. Cheers

Are you asking for paint advice? I'm slightly confused. If you're planning to blackboard paint the above please don't! IMHO, it would look far better if the existing paint were tidied up and the plastics blacked, especially with those wheels.

Yeah, asking how to get rid of the rough texture? It looks better in pics but the paint work is damn shoddy and riddled with dents :/ Id like to get it done the same colour but its all down to money.

If you're gonna do it, use satin black rather than blackboard paint. Any dents (no matter how small) will be infinitely more noticeable with black paint though, shiny or otherwise.

Blackboard paint is horrible and lumpy, needs to be so that the chalk can break up on it.

I would roll that as it is Use the time you would spend preping and painting it, to clean polish and detail the whole car. Its got to be worth a go before loosing nearly 30years of patina forever.

Blackboard paint isn't very nice stuff, and it's pretty expensive!
Satin would be a much nicer finish.

not for a while: ford pop, 32 rails,

Proper mil spec NATO paints (eBay) have a nice smooth and waxy texture and easy to apply with a foam roller.
But, on that scort, I wouldn't. Looks cool and nice how it is, I'd either give it a polish or more prob buff it with anchor wax from Morris. It'll protect the paint and metal and give a nice waxy sheen to it.

Cleaned up, tap avec le stick, sorted.
It's too cool to make it just another satin black car...

Looks great the way it is! Any kind of matt black would look way worse... If anything I would exaggerate the current look

Put down the roller and place your hands behind your head.
